You will still be able to hear ambient noise and communicate easily with our fitted, high quality calibrated tuned attenuating filters. The recommended exposure time for a sound pressure level of 95-100dB (created inside your helmet at 60 mph) is two hours. If you ride faster, your recommended exposure time declines as the noise factor rises. If you rode at 100 mph, the noise factor rises to 100dB making your exposure time less than 15 minutes or the noise factor could lead to tinnitus, deafness and other hearing loss symptoms. We supply our ProGuards for Motorcycling with two choices of specially tuned acoustic filters as well as a fitting tool so that you can easily interchange the filters for your riding situation. Red is the recommended minimum that provides your ears with a protection factor of 25 dB.
